Shall I move house or not?
Theres no two ways about it, moving house is stressful, it's a huge decision to make and can have a knock on affect to your future life. Mulling over those thoughts of "shall I move house or not" to yourself and talking it over with friends, asking them "would you move house or stay" you can find yourself going around in circles and getting int0 what I call "moving house anxiety".
Moving house later in life is more difficult and can be quite an upheaval, leaving friends and everything you have become accustomed to in your area. Many ladies on their own decide to move to be nearer their siblings whilst others throw caution to the wind and say, "blow it I'm not in a waiting room", sell up and move for a fresh start somewhere else.
It does seem that now is a very popular time to move and as we know the housing market is booming at the moment. I had a chat recently with Lexie Carducci who is an expert property finder (similar to what you see in Location, Location, Location, Move to the country or house in the sun on T.V.) recently who shares her advice on finding your ideal property.
So if you are thinking of moving maybe downsizing due to change, becoming an empty nester, recently divorced or just want to change your location heres some good advice and what Lexie can do to help you:
So, if you are thinking of moving house here's a few things to do.
View lots of properties and go in with an open mind, it's good to find out what you don't want as much as what you do want.
Moving into a different location completely but not quite sure about it? How about testing the waters first? You could think about renting for a while to get a feeling of what it's actually like to live in the area.
Embrace the whole experience and enjoy it. Look for the positives.
It is best not to rush, take your time and talk things over with a coach such as myself so that you can explore all the option, the pro and cons to make certain you are making the right decisions for you. Many ladies that I have coached through moving home have found it very comforting and reassuring to have me in their pocket, seeing them through those anxious times!
